Black Friday 2025 is just around the corner, and deals on electronics are about to flood the market. This year, there will be numerous discounts on cameras, lenses, and accessories again. To help you navigate through all the offers, I’ve compiled some tips and recommendations for products I personally find worthwhile and use myself.
My Recommendations
As always: Not every deal is actually a good deal. Sometimes products are only slightly discounted, or newer models are about to be released. That’s why I’ve put together my personal recommendations for Black Friday 2025. I also don’t recommend impulse purchases – think carefully beforehand about what you really need and whether the deal actually offers real value. To help you make informed decisions, I’ve linked some of my detailed reviews and tests, and I’ve provided links to the products – however, these are not links to products with the best Black Friday deals, as we don’t have insight into those.
Cameras
Sony Alpha 7 IV:
The Sony A7 IV is an excellent all-round camera suitable for both photo and video work. Keep in mind that Sony might soon announce the A7 V, which could affect the A7 IV’s prices. Nevertheless, the A7 IV remains a solid choice for photographers seeking a versatile and powerful camera.
Sony ZV-E10II:
A compact and affordable vlogging camera that surprisingly works well for photography. With 26 megapixels, a modern autofocus system, and the new Sony menu, it offers many features of higher-priced cameras. The kit lens (E PZ 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS II) is light and versatile, though it shows its limitations in poor lighting. The missing electronic viewfinder and stabilizer are the biggest limitations for photographers. If you’re looking for a compact, light camera for travel and everyday use while not wanting to compromise on video features, this is a good option – especially with Black Friday discounts. Find all details about my experiences from London and Oxford in my detailed review:
Sony A6700:
The more professional alternative to the ZV-E10 II with the same 26-megapixel sensor, but significantly more features for serious photographers. The A6700 offers a built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF), in-body image stabilization (IBIS), and a mechanical shutter – all features the ZV-E10 II lacks. The more robust magnesium body with weather sealing and additional controls make it the ideal choice for demanding APS-C photography. Anyone looking for a compact yet full-featured camera for wildlife, sports, or action who doesn’t want to switch to full-frame should watch for A6700 deals during Black Friday.
Lenses
Sony 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS:
A versatile telephoto zoom I highly appreciate for wildlife and sports photography. It offers good reach and solid image quality at a reasonable price. I’ve been using it for many years and can only recommend it for anyone wanting to do more wildlife photography with full-frame.
Sony 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS:
For those seeking something more compact, this lens is an excellent choice. It offers a good balance between reach and portability, ideal for travel and outdoor photography. Close-ups are also possible with it. However, there’s speculation that Sony might announce a successor model soon, so it’s worth checking the deals carefully.
Tamron 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD:
This lens is my constant companion and has replaced almost all my other lenses in people photography. The focal range from 35-150mm with the bright aperture of f/2 to f/2.8 makes it incredibly versatile – from wide-angle portraits to compressed telephoto shots. I already had it with me in Lisbon, where it proved to be a true all-rounder. The flexibility significantly speeds up my workflow at events, and the attractive bokeh is perfect for portraits. Find more about my experiences with this lens in my detailed review.
Tamron 90mm F/2.8 Di III MACRO VXD:
An excellent macro lens with 1:1 magnification ratio that I highly value for detail and close-up shots. The sharpness performance is outstanding, and the fast autofocus makes it suitable even for moving subjects like insects. Particularly practical: The 90mm isn’t just ideal for classic macros but also works excellently for portraits or product photography. Anyone wanting to expand their equipment with a versatile prime lens should watch for Black Friday deals. Find more details in my detailed test:
Tamron 16-30mm f/2.8 Di III VXD:
An outstanding wide-angle zoom lens ideally suited for landscape, architecture, and interior photography. With its constant f/2.8 aperture, it delivers impressive results even in poor lighting conditions. The optical quality is excellent, with minimal distortion and outstanding sharpness to the corners. For photographers seeking a versatile wide-angle lens, the Tamron 16-30mm f/2.8 is a worthwhile investment, especially when available during Black Friday deals.
Lighting & Effects
Nanlite FC-120B:
A compact and versatile bi-color LED light with 120 watts of power that I’ve tested for YouTube videos, reels, and studio shoots. The light impresses with good color consistency (CRI >95), flexible USB-C power supply, and intuitive operation including app control. The included Bowens mount adapter is a real plus in this price range. Particularly practical: The FC-120B can also be powered by a power bank or V-mount battery for mobile use – ideal for flexible setups without power outlets. Anyone seeking a reliable, portable LED light for content creation or smaller productions should watch for Black Friday deals. Find all details about my experiences in my detailed test:

Ulanzi FM01 Filmog Ace:
A compact and portable fog machine that adds a special atmosphere to your photo shoots and events. With 36 different and controllable fog effects, the intensity and speed of the fog can be precisely adjusted. The remote control enables convenient control from a distance, while the portable design with carrying case makes the device ideal for on-the-go use. Perfect for creative photo shoots, outdoor events, parties, stage effects, or weddings. Anyone wanting to add an artistic touch to their photos and videos should watch for Filmog Ace deals during Black Friday.
Camera Accessories
Peak Design Camera Straps:
The best camera straps I’ve ever used. Peak Design combines thoughtful design with high functionality – the Anchor Link system enables lightning-fast attachment and detachment of the camera, while the straps themselves are extremely comfortable and versatile to adjust. Whether Slide (wide shoulder strap), Slide Lite (more compact version), or Leash (slim wrist strap) – all offer excellent build quality and thoughtful details like integrated attachment points for accessories. The Anchor Links are universally compatible with all Peak Design straps and bags. Especially for longer shoots with heavy lenses, Peak Design straps are a real relief. Anyone wanting to invest in quality and comfort should watch for deals during Black Friday.
Leofoto LS-325C + LH-40 Kit:
A versatile carbon tripod I’ve been using for years – from wildlife to studio to travel photography. The perfect compromise between weight (1.95 kg) and stability makes it the ideal companion for heavy telephoto lenses. Particularly practical: The compact pack size of 54.5 cm fits easily into carry-on luggage, while the robust carbon construction still carries up to 12 kg. The included LH-40 ball head with two vertical positions and the lightning-fast adjustable center column (just a quarter turn) make work particularly efficient. The kit includes everything: transport bag, spikes, rubber feet, and multi-tool. Anyone seeking a reliable, portable tripod for serious photography should watch for deals on this proven kit during Black Friday. Find all details about my long-term experiences in my detailed test.
Tilta NP-FZ100 Battery:
An additional battery is always a good idea, especially for longer shoots or travels. The Tilta NP-FZ100 battery is a cost-effective alternative to the original battery for Sony cameras like the A7 series. With a capacity of 2400mAh, it provides sufficient power for extended shooting sessions. I’ve been using this battery myself and am very satisfied with its performance. Anyone looking to expand their gear should watch for deals on this battery during Black Friday.
Sensor Cleaning
JJC Blower:
An indispensable tool for every camera bag and the most important first step in sensor cleaning. The blower removes loose particles safely and without direct contact with the sensor. Often this alone is enough to eliminate 70-80% of all contamination. Absolutely safe to use and a one-time purchase without consumables. Anyone wanting to regularly maintain their sensor should watch for deals during Black Friday. Find a detailed guide to sensor cleaning in our sensor cleaning guide:
Rollei & VSGO Cleaning Swabs:
The most reliable method for stubborn contamination that the blower can’t remove. Sensor cleaning swabs with solution guarantee the removal of all types of contamination – dust, grease, fingerprints, and pollen. I swear by Rollei swabs for monthly basic cleaning – they offer different sizes for all sensors (full-frame: 24mm, APS-C: 16mm, MFT: 13mm) and consistently deliver better results than other products. Anyone wanting to optimally maintain their equipment will find a worthwhile investment here.
